Battery Meter Not Working

The battery meter on my 8GB iphone 3g has recently stopped working. It shows fully charge all the time. I've already tried the reboot and let the battery compeltetly drain with no success. Help!

No you did not.

You said: "I've already tried the reboot"

That is neither restart reset nor restore. Which one of these THREE options do you call a reboot, and did you try the other TWO options?

Reset is a function of Settings/General/Reset
Restart is Power Off Button and Menu Button Held at the same time until the Apple Logo disappears [about 20 seconds]
and Restore is a iTunes Function
