How to draw graphs in Pages

Welcome to the forum.

You can use Pages' Shapes tool to create colored and filled objects and lines with the appropriate floating text boxes to label them.

The shapes tool is the green icon on the toolbar at the head of the window.

It even has a free form drawing tool to draw whatever you want.

Do you mean a simple graph with two axes, one being speed and the other time for example?
If so I don't know would be interested to find out. I had a look at grapher in the Utilities folder and couldn't do it with that either.
I'll take a look at the pages option right now.

Pages has shapes: lines, circles, and rectangles. You could fashion a line graph or bar graph with them. Under the Arrange menu (in the menu bar) you have Group and Lock which might also be helpful. Select several objects and then use the Group command to turn them into a single object - Ungroup does exactly what it sounds like should you need to reverse the process. Lock will 'nail' an object to the page so it can't be moved.
