"Graffiti style" title sequence?

The paint tool in Motion.

Titling is an art, just like any other graphics endeavor. There are people who get paid a lot of money, just to do titling. You can do what you want, but you can't do it without some effort, and maybe a bit of learning. There is no "do what I want without me having to do anything" option in FCS.

I thought that was called the "make good" button. Sometimes referred to as the "spice it up" shortcut. My producers ask for that so often that I've had to map it to my keyboard.

All teasing aside, Motion isn't hard to learn for something like this. Get familiar with masking, or learn how to keyframe the Write On function of the paint brush. There are tons of shapes for your brush, and you can create your own. It will take a little time, but if you've used Photoshop it'll be even easier. (I find Motion is way more like Photoshop than it is like FCP.)

You might be able to get something close to what you want by using one of the LiveFonts.

There's one called "Clerk" that looks sort of painted on, I think there might be others as well. There's one called "Cool" that actually lives up to the name.

This is in Motion in the Library. So you'd have to create the title sequence in Motion and then export it for use in Final Cut Pro.

You create plain text titles and then drag the LiveFont you want to use onto the Text Layer to apply it.

Is it possible to make a title sequence in the form of a graffiti spray paint effect. I have Studio with all the trimmings..........

Do you mean you want a particle system that looks a spray of paint and for the particles to hit and stick to a surface?
Do you want the sprayer/emitter to be visible?
Are you just doing a modified type-on effect?
Are you creating graphics that look like they have been spray painted or are you making a standard typeface appear as if it were applied with spray paint?
Does that mean misting and a rotating italic-style nib or missed spots?
Is the graffiti going onto a smooth or hard surface?

In the end I used the, "If it's a total pain in the butt to do, change the idea!" >course of action and used Live Type which has some great animated fonts. Thanks >for the help though folks.
