iPod function not working, crashing all the time.

Yesterday my iPod function stopped working. When clicking on the icon, a white screen appears for a couple of seconds and then the home screen is visible again. Rebooting/Restarting did not help at all. There was no syncing problem before, everything worked okay, the problem appeared out of nowhere.

Even though i was able to fix it with the help of a blog post ( http://rajeev.name/blog/2009/05/18/ipod-crash-fix-for-iphone-30-beta-5/ - solution 1) this does not seem a beta 3.0 firmware issue, since my iPhone is on 3.1.2.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Regards

I just had this problem after the recent update to 3.1.2. I actually didn't use the iPod app until a week or so after the upgrade, so I'm not sure if it was related to the 3.1.2 update or something else..

To resolve it I connected the phone to iTunes, allowed it to complete a sync, then opened the iPod app with iTunes still connected. This time I got a message saying it was updating the library. After that screen closed, the iPod app came up and seems to be working fine now.
