Send special Keybaord command using Remote Desktop

I am running a Mac Lab and using Apple Remote Desktop (all are running ARD 3.3.1).

I need to send a keyboard command of Control-Shift-s to the remote computer (the keyboard commands from my my system to the remote system does not work).

Is there a Unix or Apple Script that would allow me to do that?

Thank you

Odd, I can send the control-shift-s keystroke no problem. In any case, if you have the Assistive Devices box checked (and maybe, even if you don't), you can send keystrokes by telling ARD to tell the client to run a unix command to run an applescript to type for you. Wheeeeee.

Select the clients, do a "Send UNIX Command", choose to send it as root or a remote admin user for better reliability. The command to send is:
osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to keystroke "s" using {shift down, control down}'

If it's not enabled or if you want to learn more, check here:

Reply back with any problems or concerns.

Cheers, Joel
