compressing video to send in an email

hi,

is it possible to compress a video clip so i can send it in an email and if so, how do i go about doing this please? also will the person be able to decompress the file if they use windows and not mac?

ibook G4, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You could upload the file to [YouSendIt|http://www.yousendit.com> or [Screencast|http://www.screencast.com> and send the recipient a link to download the file...

or Right click (control click) on the file and from the drop down menu select *Compress "the name of your file".m4v* this should compress it to approx 10MB.

The recipient could download [Quicktime|http://www.apple.com/quicktime> to watch the video.(not sure if any windows player supports .m4v)
