Dec 16, 2009 6:34 AM in response to txoxaxdxby Kebabselector,Seems a stupid decision not to support people once they spend a fair amount on these headphones.
Seem some have spoken to Applecare and got a replacement kit. http://store.apple.com/uk/question/answers/product/MA850G/A?mco=MTQzMzA4NjA&pqid =Q7PUKX2J4HT2FPXUU279UUX9UCKH47A9F -
Dec 18, 2009 2:46 PM in response to Tony Doutreligneby nickwalker,I'm in the same situation.
I've now lost 2 pairs of the silicone caps, and one of the mesh.
I think its complete crap that you can't just buy another capsule for 10 bucks from apple. -
Dec 18, 2009 4:28 PM in response to nickwalkerby Kebabselector,I did have some success with AppleCare, eventually I managed to speak to someone who understood what I needed.
So free of charge the despatched the replacement buds.
Unfortunately they are for the last gen of in-ear headphones. Now I have a case number I might be able to get something done. -
Dec 30, 2009 5:12 PM in response to Kebabselectorby Kebabselector,Called again and got it sorted. They've sent me a complete in-ear headphone set. Phones, buds and caps (minus the retail packaging). Seems a bit over the top for a set of silicone buds, but I'm not complaining as I means I've got a spare set of headphones now Just hope I don't loose the tip again.
On a tip update, I found one. The other seems to have disappeared into the unknown (or the dog) -
Mar 30, 2010 12:49 PM in response to Tony Doutreligneby appelcientje,Hi Tony,
How about setting up a barter trade in ear tips. I lost a medium size tip, what's your size, we can mail the spares! -
Apr 19, 2010 5:12 PM in response to Tony Doutreligneby ihadav,I had this happen, went to the apple store, got them replaced for free...
