Garageband and PadKontrol

I have a Korg PadKontrol and the software is Battery 3 for creating drum tracks. Problem is I can't seem to tie them together (I wanna be able to use the samples in Battery to create tracks in GB). I think that all the cabling is proper. I have MIDI cables running to my Firestudio Project and then everything linked to the comp via Firewire. I must be missing something. Any help would be appreciated.
