Deleting unwanted blank space at the end of movie HELP!

I have a slideshow with some video that is about 34 minutes long. The time bar shows I have over an hour of additional time that is blank. I need to get rid of it. The blank time appears to be making the movie too long to import to idvd. I have to have this completed by monday and i'm going nuts! please help me
