Connecting IPod to a Stereo system?

Hi. I own an Ipod Nano 4th Generation. I also own a home stereo system: an amplifier made by NAD, speakers by NHT and a DVD/CD player made by Aiwa. I've owned the stereo for ten years and I initially paid over $1000 for all the components.

Anyway, I'm trying to find out if there is a device which will allow me too hook up my IPod to my stereo system.

Online, I've seen adaptors for car stereos and all-in-one speaker-systems but nothing for connecting an IPod to a more traditional home stereo system.

Does what I'm looking for exist?

Thanks,

Mirsky

Hi there, what kind of inputs do you have for your stereo? I am assuming you have the red and white RCA inputs. If that is so you can buy apples Composite cables and hook your ipod up to your stereo that way. Or if you have line in input you just need to buy a simple stereo plug to stereo plug cable and run the music from you ipod headphone jack to the line in input on your stereo.

You can get Apple's expensive composite video cable, which attaches to the dock connector, and has outputs for left and right audio, composite video, and USB (for iPod power).

Or for a fraction of the price you can get one from a third party. Check out the ones on eBay from this seller. I bought one from him for less than US $10 including shipping, and it works a treat.
