I have an English keyboard, and would like to know how to create French accents. Are there any key combination, or a specific program that I haven't yet been able to find on my MacBook ?
Thank you !

Press the Option key and `, e, u, i, or n; if the next character typed can have that accent put on it, it will. If not, the accent and character will appear separately.

Thank you Niel, that is very helpful ! I found every thing I needed, and even more ! I had no idea almost every key on the keyboard has a special character if pressed with Option ! Will make every thing much easier now. Cheers
PS: do you now if I can access a chart somewhere showing all the keys and their corresponding symbols ? If not, I would have to write it down myself.

In System Preferences :: Keyboard you can select Keyboard and check Show Keyboard and Character Viewer in the menu bar. Then you get a drop down to select one of many special characters to insert.
