turn off accelerometer in itunes?

I run 4-6 miles daily with my iphone. When the phone bounces around sometimes I get the landscape display for my song list and have to flip through album covers. I would like I tunes to stay vertical, so I can use the arrows to go back and forth instead of having to flip through album covers. It is slow and annoying. Can I disable just this feature?

turn off accelerometer in itunes?.

There is no accelerometer in iTunes.

You can set the iPhone to call up the iPod controller by double tapping teh Home button.
Settings -> General -> Home.
Tick iPod.
Set the *iPod controls* to On.

Now double tap the home button to call up the iPod controls (even when the iPhone is locked) with Volume, Play/Pause, FF/Next, RW/Previous, current song name.
This will work with whatever is going on with the iPhone.
