macbook pro has a weird noise

i just wondering if anybody's mbp makes a strange ticking noise or should i think about giveing it in at the genuis bar?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

It is often difficult to comment on specific sounds since we are unable to hear your machine. In a case like this a second set of ears at the Genius Bar would be very helpful.

it basically dose it at random times but you can he hear it at times as your near it (as if its in your lap) i just find it kind of odd.

kind of you hear it ticking like 4 times then stops then happends again whenever it wants to as of now it stopped but i can't gurentee when it will happen again it happends more often when i browse the web.

Can you ascertain where it's coming from? I get the same thing if I listen carefully and it's coming from the disk. I admit I don't know the innards of your machine that well, but I'd guess that the disk hasn't moved massively - if this is the case, then it'll be front left of the machine, ie diagonally below the Z key.

yes thats exactly where it's coming from the left side i can't tell if it's from the speaker or where the power mag or usb is.
