ok thanks, I have tried that... but not found anything fitting.
I was more expecting an answer saying that i cant import a .VOB file and that i have to convert it first. Which i have tried but none of the software that i have downloaded have helped i got the ideas from other posts. But with no luck yet. Could be because i do not have the paid version of Quick Time (only the free version) that i seam to need to be able to use MPEG StreamClip I also tried another software called Flv Crunch but that one did not work at all and did not explain what was wrong.
So thankful for any suggestions to what i can do.

    You need these three things:
A DVD that is not "commercially" protected (Hollywood and others). Stop here if it isn't.
    MPEG Streamclip (free).
Apple MPEG-2 Playback Component (sold at the Apple Store for $20).
MPEG Streamclip can the "convert" the MPEG-2 format to formats useable in iMovie.
