How do I get rid of "other" items on my shuffle?

How do I get rid of "other" items on my shuffle?

Hi! My shuffle is telling me it's full. So I went to the setting tab and saw that about 1/3 of it is being taken up by "other." How do I remove all this "other" stuff? I don't even know what it is and I don't need it on there. Thanks!

Depending on the type of iPod you are using, "Other" can be various things such as Album Artwork, Notes, Contacts, Firmware etc. or files that are on there if you are using the iPod as a removable storage device.

If you feel that Other is being incorrectly reported then try restoring your iPod. Restoring will erase the iPod's hard drive, reload the software and put it back to default settings: Restoring iPod to factory settings with iTunes

How do I tell what type of Shuffle iPod I have? And shouldn't I be able to see what the "other" items are so I can delete them individually? i.e., if I did have an album cover on there... shouldn't I be able to see that somewhere? Thanks!

There is no breakdown of what "other" is, on a Shuffle it is going to be software and voiceover data.

There won't be any album art on a Shuffle. If you think the amount of other is too big, an it sounds like it, Restore your Shuffle in iTunes and Resync.
