Has anybody sync there iPhone in itunes on Window 7, I spent 4 hour on the phone with Apple we could not find the problem why it would not sync correctly, would like to know if anyone has sync without any problems.
HP HDX16 Premium Series,
Windows Vista,
3GS iPhone, iPod U2 Special Edition
I don't know whether this would apply at all for your situation, but I did have some problems with a new windows 7 install and iTunes until I updated my bios. The older bios was causing iTunes to crash the computer.
win 7 does simply not reconize the iphone at all.
i have tried all support options , with no luck will call for help later.
i will post later if i have success
Been using Windows 7 Professional for a week snow (a pre-order) and no issues at all except that it screws up my USB mouse (just unplug and re-plug and al fine).
Maybe you should do a clean windows7 install, install all Windows updates, and then install Itunes and try again.
Do this, also make sure you have the correct version of iTunes. Try uninstalling it and then download it with the Apple Updater and it will get the right version. Don't use an old install file.
I have been able to sync my iPhone with itunes on Windows 7. I have been using Windows 7 for several months and it wasn't until just this week I started having issues. itunes stopped recognizing my phone all together, when I would plug it in itunes would completely lock up until I unplugged my phone.
So, I uninstalled all of apple products in the order they recommended, checked all my drivers, and reinstalled and was still having issues. In my case I did a fresh install of itunes and had to reset and erase my iphone, at which point itunes recognized it and everything is good to go now.
But, like I said I have been using itunes with Windows 7 for several months and this week was the first time I have run into any issues. I also have a couple friends that have had absolutely no issues running itunes on windows 7 and syncing their iphones. What exactly is the issue that your seeing?
Try this:
Try manually installing the driver
by doing the following:
*Right-click "My Computer" and select Manage
*Select Device Manager
*In the right-hand pane, expand Imaging Devices and select the iPhone (camera)
*Right-click the iPhone camera and select Properties
*Click the Driver tab
*Click "Update Driver..."
*When asked if you should connect to the internet
, select yes.
iTunes has to be ran in the "Administrative mode". Go to computer> C Drive (or drive your iTunes is on>Program Files>iTunes Folder> Right Click on iTunes> click "Run As Administrator"
You will get a pop up that says it is recommended not to run in Admin mode, click "ok" and ignore it...
Problem has not been solved, I have tried both post by WJOSTEN, tried post by iWild Cat did not work and tried Randy Fast post with Apple rep. in the phone line.
Thanks all for you time and help.
