ls - how to obtain same listing order as in Finder?

Hi,

If I have two files file.dat and file_1.dat, then the "ls" command gives a different listing than the one of Finder. Which Terminal command lists contents in the same listing order as the one which is used by Finder?

ls -t

Sorts by time.

ls -S

by size.

OK, what are you sorting by in Finder? Are you using Column view?

Hi,

I use column view and simply sort by name. The file file_1.dat comes before file.dat in Finder, but the other way round in the Terminal (using ls). Using "ls -l | sort -d" partially fixes the problem, but is not exactly what I am looking for (the same order as in Finder).
