Getting a page vertical and horizontal.

Pages requires all pages to be the same size and orientation.

The way you have horizontal pages in a vertical document is to rotate the content of that page 90°.

No, you can't rotate the page in Pages.
What are you going to use the document for, for printing or for reading on the screen?

What you can do is rotate the text on the page/pages you want horizontal. Save the document. Also Export to PDF. In Preview you can rotate pages, but I am not sure if it keeps when saving in Preview. You have to try, and do come back and tell us if it works.

For the on screen rotation of text you will have to output the page separately or copy and paste the contents into Preview and make a new (.pdf) file from that.

If it isn't already rotated the way you like it you can drag it back into Pages, rotate the .pdf and re-output that as a .pdf file.

The separate .pdf file can be combined with the regular .pdf pages in Preview or *Adobe Acrobat.*

To do that in Snow Leopard's Preview has become simpler. Just open the thumbnail sidebar of the regular .pdf file and drag in the horizontal .pdf from fFinder into the position in the sidebar yoiu want.

There is a similar process in Acrobat but there it is best to open both files and drag the thumbnail across from one to the other. The combining .pdf routine in Acrobat is a little round about for this particular case.
