blinking caps lock key

Anybody know why my caps lock key has started blinking. It isn't blinking fast and I thought I was seeing things at first but it is flashing now and then.

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Water damage? Do you have Apple Care? Do you have an Apple Store near you?

Could be a bad LED, or a short in the connection? Sounds like hardware, in which case a solution here probably isn't going to work. I'd suggest taking it in to an Apple store.

If you were talking about an Atari ST I would say 100% keyboard fault, the keyboard on the ST is 'intelligent' and this is the way it tells you it gone faulty - maybe similar thing going on with yours ?

Hi,
I use MacBook Pro 4,1 and I get the same issue after updating to 10.6.2!
Just turn Capslock on and off again - it should remove the problem. At least untill you reset.
