Two Finger Right Click Also Left Clicks

So I have a 2.4GHz unibody macbook which had the problem of only right clicking with a 3 finger click on the trackpad. I have the Multitouch trackpad 1.1 driver and now 2 finger right clicking works, except it will also left click. A three finger click will still work for just right clicking but I wish 2 finger would just work like it does in OSX.

Clicking:
1 Finger - Left Click
2 Finger - Left Click + Right Click
3 Finger - Right Click

Has anyone else had this problem? Know a solution?

Unibody Macbook 2.4GHz, Mac OS X (10.6.1), Windows XP dual boot

Yeah this has been driving me crazy. No one else seems to notice that two finger clicking counts as both a left and right click and not just a right click.

Tons of people are saying that two finger clicking works now as right click (which it does), but in a flawed manner as it registers as both a right click (upon pressing DOWN on the trackpad with two fingers to get it to click) and a left click (upon *LETTING GO* of the click).

If this were fix I would be SOOOOOOO HAPPY. Please fix this!

btw... for now you can still right click normally with a 3 finger click (for some reason a three finger click registers perfectly as a right click and the two finger click is still bugged as being both clicks).

I get some weird crap going on myself. Two finger click opens up explorer >_< I have to use three finger click for right click. This is a unibody MBP with glasspad using Win7 64 Professional. Annoying as all get out. Odd how three finger click works as right click but doesn't register for scrolling. The two finger click opening up explorer feels like a middle click response without the ability to set middle click to anything but Open Explorer Window.

In addition the trackpad works PERFECTLY fine in games - these issues seem to be isolated to the windows 7 interface only. Is it intentional on Apple's part? To reduce the quality of the experience in Windows? Obviously they don't have the resources that MS has and it's /not/ their OS, but it would be nice if they maybe outsourced the driver dev to a windows-only dev group or something.

I have the same problem with the identical hardware/software, and had not discovered the 3-finger right-click until I read this support discussion. Although I too would like the touchpad to work as it does with osx, for me, the 3-finger click is a perfectly acceptable alternative -- thanks!

I also noted that the 2-finger right-click works if the two fingers touch-points are far apart -- which, to me, indicates that *the full resolution of the touchpad is not being utilized* by boot-camp.

Thought I would help you out since I just finished spending an awfully long time getting my two finger click to work properly. I'm running an original white 13.3" MB, triple booted with Sn0Le0, Win7 and Karmic. (I decided against boot camp and parallels... well... because I can 😀 )Anyway, I started with the bootcamp software drivers that came on the 10.4 Le0 install disk and upgraded it until 3.1. Then once that was finished, I went into the bootcamp settings.

1) Start
2)type "bootcamp" into the search field
3)Click on "Bootcamp" which should be under the 'Controle Pannel' heading
4) Allow it to run on your computer/make changes to the HDD etc. (never could figure out why Windows had to be so complicated as to have to build something like that into it's OS in order to keep stupid people from f**ing up their computers...)
5) When you get to the Bootcamp control pannel, you should see a tab that is entitled Trackpad. Choose it
6) Select your options and hit Apply

Should work. I don't know if it has anything to do with having the CD in the drive, but it probably doesn't hurt. If you don't have the CD, it can be had a number of "unofficial" ways. Look it up, and good luck!

I recently installed Windows 7 on a unibody macbook pro and get the same problem. Tried the Trackpad++ drivers but didn't do any good. Anyone had any luck figuring out a solution to this?
It's about 9 months since the thread opened and Apple still has no say. No wonder why it's been made fun of in the IT world. I guess 4 finger gestures are out of the question, eh ?

Has anyone found any answers for this? I have gotten everything else to work on my MacBook Pro with Windows 7 x64, but there are a number of cases where the two finger click does not work. You can see the problem clearly if you try a two finger right click (including the button press) anywhere on the task bar or start menu. In these areas only a 3-finger click achieves the desired behavior. It seems like this should be a relatively easy fix in the drivers...

I also have had this problem and I'm running the latest Bootcamp drivers and all Windows XP SP3 updates at this time.
I think I've found a solution.
Sorry the answer may not be exact, I'm from Spain, so my Windows is in Spanish.
Try enabling "Pointer precision". Got to "Pointer Options" tab in the Mouse control panel. This check is in the "Movement" section, where you can choose the mouse pointer speed.
Hope it helps.
