cbssports.com no longer loading

I run a fantasy football league which people pay $200+ a year to play in. I run it through cbssports.com. I obviously need access to my league page.

At some point this weekend, I can no longer access this page. It just won't get past the loading stage. Every other webpage I use loads up flawlessly. But for whatever reason, cbssports.com does not load up.

We have two Macs in the house and a wireless router. My mac is working fine. My girlfriend's is less than 6 mos old and working fine. Neither of our computers can get onto cbssports.com.

I'm up to date on all of my software. I cleared my cache, deleted cookies, cleared my history on safari. I even tried downloading Mozilla Firefox and still no luck. I even turned airport off and plugged the interweb cable into my computer. Interweb works fine with the exception of cbssports.com.

I read up on a bunch of posts of users having similar problems and then took the advice from Carolyn on this page:
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2206618&tstart=120

Still no luck.

So where we stand:
2 computers in household can't load the page - so i doubt it's a hardware issue
Browsers have been reset and a new one tried - still doesn't work
Plugged directly into the internet bypassing the wireless router - still doesn't work

Any advice? This is driving me insane and I have 9 other people and a couple of thousand dollars depending on me maintaining administrative stuff for our league.
Thanks
Jason

p.s. About 20 minutes ago, I was able to load up cbssports.com - I then clicked on the "fantasy" link and had the same loading problems. Now I'm trying cbssports.com again and it's still in the loading stage for the last 5-10 minutes.

HI Jason!

Go to Safari/Preferences - Security

Where you see: Fraudulent sites / Warn when visiting a fraudulent website.

Make sure that is deselected.

See if that helps.

Also, since you are running Tiger, make sure you have the Security Update 2009-001 installed. If it's not installed go here. http://support.apple.com/downloads/SecurityUpdate_2009_001__Tiger_Intel

Go to System Preferences/Software Updates - Installed Updates.

Go to System Preferences/Security and make sure your Firewall is turned ON.

Repair disk permissions.

Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Keep an eye on available disk space.

Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon. Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. *Make sure you always have a minimum of 10% to 15% free disk space at all times.*

Install the 10.4.11 combo update available here for Intel based Macs.

Last but not least, back up all important data and perform an Archive & Install.

Hi Carolyn,

With the exception of doing the archive/install - I've tried all of your suggestions and STILL no luck. This is beyond frustrating. Does it make any sense that both computers in the house are having the same exact problem?

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? This is pretty effing ridiculous I can't get on a well known site like cbssports.com.
