Picture sorting

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find it. So I'm going to ask it again. Is there anyway to get the iPhone to sort pictures in Chronological order, wither it be via iTunes or just through windows camera Sync?

iPhone 3g, iPhone OS 3.1.2, Windows 7/Windows XP

There doesn't seem to be - I've been looking too. It's ridiculous that there seems to be no consistent sort order applied. At the very least you should have an option to show by date.

Apple - FIX THIS!
