MPEG Streamclip

Question

MPEG Streamclip

I downloaded MPEG Streamclip and QuickTime MPEG2. The icon for MPEG Streamclip and the icon for the QuickTime MPEG2 Manual remain on my desktop and if I try to move them only aliases appear in the destination folders and they remain on the desktop. This has happened with other downloads but a restart usually removes them as appropriate. What can I do here?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1GB RAM

Correction: the second icon is for QuickTime MPEG2, not the manual.

Curiouser and curiouser! I was trying to find the various icons and somehow the QuickTime MPEG2 icon has removed to the Applications folder.

Now how can I achieve the same with MPEG Streamclip?

After you downloaded MPEG Streamclip, what exactly did you do to install it?

As far as I remember I followed the installation instructions. The MPEG Streamclip 1.9.2 icon is on my desktop but an alias is in my Applications folder and so is the MPEGStreamclip1.9.2.dmg icon.

Delete the alias from Applications and delete the icon on your desktop.
Leave the dmg. Double click the dmg to open it, drag the MPEG Streamclip
icon to your Applications folder, eject the dmg. You should now delete the
dmg file also.
