screen saver acts weird...

So I know a lot of screen savers stopped working.
but I found one that does work when I press test but when I wait 5 minutes it comes on and works only with a dark screen?
its suppose to take a snapshot of the screen and work with that... is it a snow leopard issue or a screen saver issue

i was only able to find the
~(yourUserName)/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
the other one doesnt seem to exist on my mac.

its the lotsa water screen saver. it has been updated for snow leopard and it works when i press "test" but when I let it wait it goes to black screen....

could it be the screen locks and forces it black? i have it set to ask password after 5 minutes of screensaver... but thats 5 minutes later....

ok so it seems a lot of people are having the same problem with lotsawater screensaver.

its because the screen goes blank first when its set to require password. it locks it.

the screensaver allows you though to instead of using the destop - use a background of your own. so...
is there a script or automation i can make that will run everytime the screensaver is about to go off? it will take a picture of the screen and place it in a spot where the screen saver will find it

I'm lost. this screensaver works without any issues for me. can you explain again what exactly do you want to do with it?
