ipod isn't updating!? :(

Hey

I know that his might sound like a stupid question but what software version should my ipod classic be?

Its at 1.1.2 now and when it hasn't updated in ages.

Mac Pro G5, Mac OS X (10.5.7)

Hello Clerxy,

By the way it sounds, you have a 6th generation iPod classic model (either the 80 GB or 160 GB model). Apple decided that the last firmware version to be released for that model would version 1.1.2.

So, if you have tried running an update with your iPod via iTunes and you are receiving a message that your iPod is up to date, then your iPod is a 6th generation model that was released in September of 2007. For more information, I would check out this article.
