update NVIDIA drivers for 9600 GT M?

Hi,

I have a MBP Unibody late 2008 and am trying to update my nvidia drivers in Bootcamp (Win7) but the nvidia site doesn't refer to the cards as 9600 GT, it refers to them as series and I don't know which one is the corresponding one to my card!

Can someone please let me know which to select?

P.S. I have already tried going into the hardware manager and updating the drivers directly there. They appear to update but then games tell me there is an update required from nvidia site.

Hi
I had same issue with nVidia drivers. I searched their site without luck, even downloaded several drivers I thought would work..no luck.

So, as a last resort I went to the Windows 7 update, pressed the button to update and bam...there were the drivers I needed. All is updated now. Try it!

As an alternative you can also go to the laptop2go website http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ which has a large collection of drivers and helps you choose the driver for you. I have the 9600m GT as well I use the latest Dox release driver found via the forums on their page as it has great performance when gaming. It increased my windows experience score for graphics from 5.4 using the bootcamp driver to 6.4 using the Dox driver.

Please note that you will have to install PhysX manually if you want it, but the instructions are clear for that. Hope this helps.

Download Drivers > Download Drivers
Type : GeForce (default)
Series: GeForce 9M Series
Operating System: choose the one you are running

To install, just run the file it downloads.

Download the file that applies to you and run it in windows and follow the onscreen instructions. When it asks you which configuration you have select hybrid sli, as hardware wise that is what you have despite apple not activating it.
