Widgets with Magic Mouse

The easiest way, although I have trouble using this technique, is to make one or some of the corners of your monitor screen "hot" so it invokes Dashboard. System Preference -----> Expose & Spaces-----> Expose

Tap F12? I know it's not "with the magic mouse" but it seems pretty simple.

Click on the Dashboard in the Dock.

you can set it on right click...
go to Apple preferences - expose & spaces - Expose - at the bottom of the window is Dashboard" on the right check "secondary Mouse"

You can also use the dashboard key on the keyboard.

In the Exposé & Spaces preference pane, click the second popup menu under "Dashboard," and instead of just selecting the secondary (aka right) mouse button, you can hold Shift (or Option or Control). You'll see the options change from Secondary Mouse Button to Shift-Secondary Mouse Button.

So this way you can use your right-click normally, but you can also show Dashboard or Expose as well if you hold shift.

Honestly though it might be easier just to hit the Expose or the Dashboard button on the keyboard, but use whatever is more comfortable for you.

Is this a new feature for the Magic Mouse? I just installed the software update for the Magic Mouse and don't recall seeing this with the Mighty Mouse.

If I squeeze the left and right Mighty Mouse buttons on the side, the Widgets pop up. I don't remember if this is the default option or not. These buttons can be changed to a few option by going into System Preferences/Mouse.

First; Go to System Preferences, click on mouse, check secondary mouse. Go back to system preferences, click on Expose Spaces. Click Expose and at widgets click secondary mouse. Your done.

Try a piece of software called MagicPrefs. It allows for a "center region" click on the Magic Mouse that can be custom configured to do many things including launching the Dashboard. Works great and it's free.
