I tried both the Broadcom (not corp) "Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (Broadcom)" and the downloaded Broadcom drivers indicated and neither works. Both show Update Driver Warning and device cannot start code 10. I was successfully running Vista through Parallels on this Macbook prior to installing Windows 7. After the install the Internet connection did not work and there were two Ethernet Controller's under Other devices showing driver errors. Also listed one PCI Device with driver error. As I've indicated, when I try to install the Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (Broadcom) it fails. The Mac side indicates type of Airport Extreme and firmware Broadcom BCM 43xx 1.0 (5.10.91.21). What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Mike

I have this same problem.

I am running Snow Leopard on a brand new late-2009 macbook and Windows 7 x64 Home Premium through boot camp.

No solutions have worked so far. I have attempted installing several versions of the broadcom driver and also tried mrfishball's method without success. When I click on network controller->update driver and browse for the driver myself in the correct folder, Windows says that no drivers were found. I have attempted going in and running the driver's setup.exe, but that doesn't work either.

Has anyone with the newest rev. macbooks gotten wireless on windows 7 x64 to work through boot camp yet?

Mine's working now. I used this driver for my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

http://www.x-drivers.com/catalog/drivers/wireless_networks/companies/broadcom/mo dels/bcm4310/14352.html

After installing, restart and then open device manager. Select the Network Controller and click Update Driver. Then select Browse my Computer for Driver Software. Then select "Let Me pick from a list of device drivers in My Computer". Afterwards, select Network Adapters and a list of OEMs will appear. Click Broadcom (not Broadcom Corp) on the left and pick the driver from the right. Actually i forgot which one I picked, I just selected one from the list. Afterwards reboot the system again and wifi should be working.

Hi to add on to this thread, i was also facing the same problem of the network controller on the macbook 6,1 late 2009 model running BOOTCAMP windows 7 34bit. After using many methods on this thread, i only manage to get the network controller going by using mrfishball's method

"i ve got it solved...finally... ok thats how i did it... first go to device manager and right click on the network controller and select update driver. DO NOT let windows search for the driver for you. Browse your computer for the driver and then pick the driver from the list yourself. wait for windows to generate a list of network controller drivers and go down to "Broadcom" (you ll also find "Broadcom corp" on the list, just igorne it). you ll be looking for the driver "Broadcom 802.11n network adapter... wait for it to install and THATS it...

*HOWEVER IF YOU DON'T SEE IT ON LIST... DOWNLOAD IT FROM THIS LINK *
http://www.driversdown.com/Download.asp?ID=19017&Url=http://down3.driversdown.co m/network/Broadcom43xxwldrv4100155.exe

install it, restart your mac and repeat the same step i mentioned above and now you have your wifi back...""

But instead of Broadcom 802.11n network adapter I had to choose Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN to get it to work. I know it's a compromise but at least it is bloody working.

Hope this helps.

I have the new MacBook with 4Gb RAM. I used bootcamp and installed Windows 7 Home Prenium 64Bit version. Good news for all the macbook users with wi-Fi problems. I managed to fix it, what I did was I right clicked the network adapter in the device manager and selected update driver software. I then selected browse my computer for driver software and then selected let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer. It populated a list so I went down to Broadcom (not Broadcom corporation) and selected Broadcom 802.11n (Broadcom).

The wi-Fi worked perfectly. I am now trying to solve the isight issue. I know that if u download skype, u still can use the isight. but not msn.

I experienced the same problem on a new Mac Book received 3 December 2009. I tried a few options in this thread but failed.

I'd had a similar problem with a sound card on my old Mac Book, so used a similar technique.

- insert the OS 10.6 install CD
- right click on the DVD in My Computer, and select Open
- browse to Boot Camp> Drivers> Broadcom
- right-click on BroadcomXPInstaller and select Troubleshoot compatibility
- select Troubleshoot program
- select The program worked in earlier version of Windows.. and click Next
- select Windows Vista and click Next
- click Start the Program
- in the task bar, click on the shield, and then select Yes
- the Device Driver Installation Wizard will open - click Next
- select I accept the agreement, and click Next
- The installation wizard will complete, and the wireless drivers will install
- From the Program compatibility window, click Next and select 'yes save these settings for this program
- the adaptor should now install correctly, and appear under Network adaptors as Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter.

Good luck!

Hey thanks Mr Fishball!

I've been trying for two days now...

At first I thought it was a hardware problem, because I have tried installing the drivers (letting windows search itself, thinking it was the best option..). I even searched the mac OS disc. I am misled into thinking the problem is I don have the correct drivers, thats why Windows can't find any. So we were all wrong! So there is something machines can't beat us after all: A manual search! ha

I can't believe the solution is this simple! It made me look like an idiot, looking all over the internet for drivers, downloading a lot of crap...

So thanks Mr Fishball!
