Have you tried updating your video driver? Sometimes updating drivers like this can fix problems like you are experiencing.

# Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage.
# Click Device Manager in the list on the left of the Computer Management window.
# Click the plus sign next to the device type in the list on the right.
# Right-click on the device and choose Properties.
# Take note of the name of the device.
# Also take note of the Device type and manufacturer.
The next thing to do is download and install the latest driver for your device from the manufacturer's website.

Move all your desktop files into a single folder on your desktop, and I mean all. Windows Vista and Windows 7 both have a problem when it comes to plugging in a USB hard drive like an Ipod or an Iphone(That's how windows see them). I'm convinced your problem rests here because of "Fault Module Name: objc.dll" in your first post.

Hiya.

objc.dll is an Apple Application Support dll. (The iTunes versions 9.x, later versions of QuickTime 7.6.x and Safari 4.0.4 all stash common dlls into Application Support nowadays.) So, it's probably worth swapping out your Apple Application Support.

Do you have a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Vista, Batman? (That has an effect on how we should proceed with this.)
