Motorola Razr V3

I was wondering if it was possible to use a USB cable to connect my phone to my laptop so I can send MP3's to my phone. Ive already use isync and was able to get it connected, but wasnt sure if I could send an MP3 to it/couldnt figure it out.

Sorry its not a Bluetooth question, but I didn't know where else to ask.

Thanks

You can transfer files to your Razor phone via bluetooth or via a USB cable. If you can figure out how to transfer the files via usb cable, you can figure out how to do it via bluetooth as you don't use Isync to transfer the MP3's, it's only for your telephone date. (Names, phone numbers, etc)

You can purchase a usb cable here: http://cell-phone-accessories-wholesale.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID =15300

I tried the supplied USB cable that came with the phone and could not get it to connect, but to send a MP3 ringtone to your RAZR V3 is actually not that hard now that you have your phone and computer linked. From the Finder, click the Bluetooth icon at the top of the screen on the menu bar. Once the drop down window opens for the Bluetooth, click on the Send File command. This will open a new window to browse for the file on your computer. Select the file and push the send button. From there you will be able to put it in the Audio folder on your RAZR V3. That is how I did my wife's phone. Hope this helps.

I may have mis-led you...I have never connected my Razor3 via USB, I was thinking of my V700, sorry. (I had to pull my cable out to remember which phone it was)

As Creeper mentions, using bluetooth to transfer MP3 files after you have it paired is very easy. He walks you thru the steps, if you need further help, post it and will try to help

Sorry!

OH MY GOSH!!! Creeper!!!!
Without even realizing it, you have supplied the answer to the question I have been searching out on the Apple support pages for over an hour! I just bought a Motorola Bluetooth V330 phone (w/T-Mobile) and was trying to find the method for transferring files (i.e. ringtones) from my PowerBook G4 to my phone - although you wrote about doing this for a RAZR V3, I followed your instructions and....IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM!! This was not an "earth-shaking" need on my part, however I was really getting frustrated knowing that transfer was possible, but not finding info on how to make it happen....My mistake, I should have checked the boards first!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! - Best regards, Cindy

I REALLY want to get one of these Razr phones. Can I ask a question though? My son has a Sony T610 and I tried to download my iCal events onto his calendar. I did this no problem BUT every event is written 6 hours early. i.e. a 9.30 appointment gives full details BUT at 3.30. Any ideas?

If I can solve this dilemma this would be so cool, it is almost beyond my expectation.

Please help if you can.

Check the time zone on your Mac (which is what iCal should be using) and the time zone on the Sony. If it is a smart phone you can usually change that manually. I don't know if this will help, but I know that when I worked in IT on PC's, anytime anyones' calendars weren't syncing correctly with their palms or smart phones it was usually a time zone difference that caused the problem.
