Ipod Touch won't play music

I have the Ipod Touch that can play music out loud. Well when I updated it afterwards I started noticing some songs won't play correctly .. like for example if I try playing any 3OH!3 song I push the play button and 3 seconds later the play button changes to a pause button no matter how many times I try pushing the button it won't play at all. I've restored it. Went in manually and took off all the songs and apps (apps won't play like music won't) and resynced the Ipod and it still won't play them.
What can I do to fix this because both my Ipod Touchs ( 1st gen & 2nd gen ) aren't working properly.
Please Help
Thanks

I have the exact same problem.
I tried restoring my iPod after updating both the iPod and iTunes. It seemed to have fixed it until I added more music to it.

I'm not sure if you're having an issue with the volume as well. For me, if I try to continue to play any music, the volume starts to adjust itself automatically and sometimes, even though I have the headphones in, it'll play the music outloud - and then will stop playing by itself.

It's frustrating and would love to know how to get this fixed.

All Apple told me to do was update it, but I did!

I am also having the identical problem (1st gen iPod Touch), only the only songs that won't play are the ones that I purchased from iTunes. All of my downloaded apps close immediately as well. I have restored, then downloaded and installed the iPhone 3.x.x software for my iPod. Also installed the most current version of iTunes on the computer. None of these helped.

I thought this would fix the problem but it didn't do a thing.
I took my touch to an apple store and the lady tried to schedule me a appointment. well I can't do that since the apple store is over an hour away.
Also my touch is getting worse. It's not playing 'newer' songs that i've synced like a month ago also .. videos are starting to not play at all. also none of my applications i buy will work at all.
