    Thanks for the info mate

    unfortunately, it seems the problem has progressed.

    It connects fine on boot up - no need to re-'pair' the mouse or anything like that, but what happens is it'll work for a few minutes, but then if it's left idle for a few minutes it will seem to loose the connection. Windows 7 still thinks it's connected to the mouse but nothing's happening. Sometimes the connection is (seemingly) lost even in the middle of doing something with the mouse - it'll just get all jolty and rubbish then stop all together. To reconnect, the easiest way is to Fn + Bluetooth disable then enable again, re-establishes the connection but you need to do that every 5 mins or so!

    any other thoughts before I have to sell this thing and buy her some rubbish microsoft product?

    Lee,

    Daft question but have you tried changing the batteries? (have seen similar behaviour before when they are a bit on the low side)

    or

    Make sure that you don't have your mobile on the desk too close to the mouse

    Does anybody know how to control the scrolling of the Magic Mouse in Windows 7.

    It most apps Vertical scrolling works, but in office 2010 horizontal scrolling works as well and it is so sensitive I would like to turn it off.

    Thanks

    Don't know a way of turning it off - sorry, but, have you tried turning the sensitivity down to it's minimum value? (1)
    Control panel > Mouse > Wheel > adjust ver and hor sensitivity
    Worked for me

    Dear all;
    I bought the magic mouse from about 2.5 month, and its working fine
    no problem with for rebooting and windows or shutting down all great
    i didn't need to install the driver or anything just the first time i use it.

    My Pc Confg;
    Pc Desktop Pentium dual core 3.4
    memory 4.0 gb
    windows 7 ultimate

    scroll up and down work great but no swiping

    note: the only prob that happen to me at first using it was not easy and so fast scrolling now everything better,and the battery life that came wth the mouse end in 2.5 month,
    So i recommended to all buy the apple battery charger came with more 6 batteries rechargeable.

    any question please ask its OK

    Hello People,

    I just installed boot camp after get very frustrated at the parallels software. I used the boot camp assistant then upgared the drivers by using the snow leopard disc.
    Finally I down loaded boot camp drivers 3.1 & 3.2.

    By doing this I was able to use magic mouse by following this video on You Tube. vey simple lol.

    Will we be able to use full function in Windows ever?
    I hardly found a driver to use scroll...
    I think Apple should do something about this.
    Magic mouse is awesome, but we need to be free to choose OS, i mean how hard is it to make a driver for this cutie
