I'm considering putting Windows 7 on my late-2009 17" MacBook Pro. The MBP has a 128Gb SSD and I also have a 48Gb FileMate ExpressCard SSD that I'd like to use for the Windows installation, rather than take up more space on the internal SSD (yeah, now I'm wishing I'd gotten the 256Gb internal SSD). Is this possible?
Would it make a difference that the installation would be virtualized by VMWare Fusion? Or does the virtualized Windows 7 have to come off a bootable drive?
