Dell MFP 3115cn printing info and scanning question

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a printer driver available for this printer from Dell's site.
It worked with Leopard & Snow Leopard.

For scanning, I have no idea how to get that to work with Leopard or Snow Leopard.

Does anyone know how to get the scanning to work between Mac OS X & Dell MFP 3115cn?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.11), 2 GB RAM

Dell presumably used the engine of another manufacturer for their printer. Find out what printer's engine they used, and you may be able to find comparable drivers to work with it. For printing, see my FAQ*:

so I found out that the Dell MFP 3115cn has the same engine as the XEROX Phaser 6180 MFP

Xerox has the Mac OS X scanning drivers.
What should I know before using them to connect with the Dell MFP 3115cn?

There are in fact several 6180's that Snow Leopard is compatible with but only for printing:

Xerox Phaser 6180DN
Xerox Phaser 6180MFP-D
Xerox Phaser 6180MFP-N
Xerox Phaser 6180N

Install the Xerox 2.0 drivers for printing. For scanning try to find some third party scanning software.

Printing is working fine.

I guess I'll just have to try the Xerox Phaser 6180 MFP Network software and see if it works.

If it does great. Otherwise back to square one.

I guess I'll start the search for third party software after that.
