quark express qxp files?

Is there a mac pro-app for page layout (like InDesign)? I am working on a newsletter.. and am wondering if i can use pages. They sent me the files from the most recent letter.. and it was a quark qxp file done on a pc. Is there a way to open this on my mac? Can I open it with InDesign? They sent me a pdf file also... is there a way to copy and paste some of this to work with pages.. and then export it to pdf for print? (Would acrobat professional help?)

Thanks

imac, Mac OS X (10.6.1)

Older versions of both PageMaker (6.5 and 7) and InDesign had a Quark converter built-in which works fairly well. Don't know about anything above In-Design v2.
If you have Acrobat Pro then you can open the .pdf file they sent and work with it from there as a .pdf file.
Don't think Pages will be of much help here unless you start the newsletter from scratch, but more expert Pages users may chip in with more info reference that.
I still use my old g3 ibook with both 9.2.2 and 10.3.9 as well as PageMaker and InDesign for quark converstions.
