connecting to livebox using macbook pro

just recently purchased my macbook pro, like last sunday with my boyfriend in liverpool. was able to connect to his wireless internet but he has a static ip address etc. have just come to connect to the internet at home on my livebox and it doesn't seem to like the password. i am currently using the red cable to get the internet to type this out.

for those without orange or a livebox usually the password required is the large security code on the bottom of the box but this it doesn't like. i have tried the different options like wep security etc and nothing. have also tried different numbers from the bottom of the box but nothing works. i can not find my adsl username or password and the livebox is maybe 2 or 3 years old
