highest value in a range

I'm thinking this should be dead easy, but can't seem to find the function. I'm just after a function that returns the highest value in a specified range of cells?

Macbook Pro 15', Mac OS X (10.5.7)

That would be

=MAX(B2:B22)

for the highest value in the range B2 to B22.guide is downloadable

See Chapter 6 of the Numbers '09 Users Guide (starting on p 115) and the iWork Functions and Formulas Users Guide for descriptions and instructions for other functions in Numbers. Both are downloadable using menu items in Numbers's Help menu,

Regards.
