watermarking and Iphoto?

is watermarking Possible Is Iphoto? If not..I am thinkin of going with Aperture But Do I need Like A "super computer" to run that? I have a mac with 2.66 Ghz intel core 2 duo with 4 GB of memory 1067 MHz DDR3 and iam getting a external Hard drive to take all my movie clips, photos, and music and store them on that. So i think ill have enough room. I tried Capture NX2 but it needs gimp for watermarks and that was a nightmare for me..SO anyone? Iam open for comments...I wanna get on with my career With tryin to get into stock photography and maybe even selling photos and send them into contests..Any feedback is greatly appreciated thanks!

Aperture Cant access my In camera settings i heard.

What are you shooting with? Aperture can do everything with a Raw that iPhoto can, plus a whole lot more.

so whatever i took when i captured the picture you wont see when opening the file due to the fact that i shot it raw.

This is completely untrue. If you camera is supported you'll see and be able to edit the Raw directly.

There is a wealth of information on the Internet about photography, shooting Raw, Aperture, Lightroom, NX2, Capture One and all the other apps that you can use to process a Raw file. Google is your friend.

wow So I was miss informed WOW thanks you..I may go with aperture Because It can edit photos and has watermarking capabilities. I have a quick question though, To make money in the field of photography is it really necessary to have A photo editing program, whatever it may be, like is that tool A MUST have Or u wont go anywhere with photography?

I'm not much one for career advice, but my own take is that to make a career in photography you need to be able to master the camera and the processes required for delivering photos to your clients. Assuming to take photos that never need to be corrected then no, you don't need a photo editing program.

Most importantly though, you need an eye.
