White lines at bottom of the TV??????

Hi, have just started noticing a white line at the bottom of my TV when i watch movies that use the whole screen (1.85:1 etc), just wondering if anyone else has the problem, is really annoying...

1.85:1 isn't full screen, do you mean 16:9.

If you do mean 1.85:1 this may well be the reason for the white line as this resolution will not fill the screen vertically.

sorry, yes i mean 16:9, its just a thin white line that flashes up every few minutes, i keep all my rips the same ratio as they were on the DVD originally, using handbrake

Sorry we cannot discuss any errors you may make circumventing copy protection, however I wonder if you are using a monitor with your tv, material can often contain other information in the top or bottom scan lines but this is usually hidden by overscan.

No, i'm using a proper 52" HD TV, only get the lines when whole screen is used, sometimes its a continual white line or sometimes broken up into smaller lines
