Networking System 7 SE w/ OSX

Have a System 7.0 Mac SE FDHD and a MacbookPro running 10.5. What's the easiest way to transfer files between the two...SE has ethernet.
I don't have a usb zip drive or usb floppy drive. Would prefer to not use an intermediary machine. Would a BasiliskII emulation be able to talk to the SE (or vice versa)?

Macintosh SE, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier

If you can hook both machines to a router/LAN, then you could use NCSA Telnet on the SE and enable the FTP server option. Connect to the SE as an ftp:// server from the MacBookPro, you can enable ftp user/password or guest accounts on the SE. There's another version called BetterTelnet. I think the FTP server option is pretty easy and should work with any other machine (PC/Mac/UNIX). I think you can use the OS X Finder to Go to Server and enter the ftp://ipaddress of the SE, or use any of the other FTP clients for OS X.
