When I paste a image from Safari into Mail I get the URL not the image

This is a change of behaviour from leopard. In the past if I right clicked on a image in Safari and chose "copy image" and pasted into my plain text mail pane the image would show up. Now I get the URL. It may sound trivial but this is a workflow I use everyday. Every work around is a real pain in the neck.

Do anybody know how to change this back?

Thanks!

Dragging works.

Oooh, very interesting. I thought I should take it a bit further than I did so I set my default format to plain text and dragged to the mail icon. It created the new email, but pasted in the text, not the image. However, dragging the same image to the same new message, it puts the picture in.
