Adding an arrow symbol to a photo

Hi,

I seldom use AW, I find myself needing it now for a project. I have a photo in iPhoto and I need to place an arrow symbol on the photo to draw attention to a subject. Can someone walk me through the steps starting with the transfer from iPhoto?

Cheers, S.

Create a drawing document, and for a basic arrow, use the line tool. Select a line weight, and then at the bottom of the toolbox you'll see two arrows. That's a popout menu that lets you add an arrowhead to the line.

For a more elaborate arrow, use clip art. There may be something suitable in the clippings. Also, some fonts, like Zapf Dingbats or Hoefler Text Ornaments, include arrows (almost all fonts have them in the unicode set, but those are not going to be accessible in AW). Just use the text tool for those.
