Auto function on red eye removal seems to not work since ilife 09 upgrade

As the headline says since I upgraded a few weeks ago the auto facility for red eye removal seems inop and its a real nuisance having to do it manually

Any thoughts ??

Powerbook 1.5GHz PowerPC G4, Mac OS X (10.5.6), 1.5 GB DDR SDRAM
