The Software Update Server (192.168.0.6) is not responding.

I'm getting a little bit crazy with this. I really not remember now when this actually started (some months now), but he software update server just stopped working. Every time I open the software update starts searching for updates and after a few seconds prompts "The Software Update Server (192.168.0.6) is not responding".
The 192.168.0.6 address means that is trying to reach the server on that IP? if so, how do I change it to Apple update server?
I Searched every where but haven't found anyone with this problem.

Thanks, Lucas.

At some point in the recent past your mac must have been configured to access a local SoftWare Update Service being provided by a Mac Server on your local network. Generally this is applied via a Managed Preference but not always. If you don't log in with a Network Based Account and you're not in an LDAP environment then odds are a network or systems administrator either issued a terminal command to 'point' your mac to the local SUS or used something like Software Update Enabler:

http://www.allocinit.net/apps/suenabler/

The property list that gets amended is stored in /Library/Preferences. To revert back simply launch Terminal on your mac - you'll find it in /Applications/Utilities - and issue this command:

sudo defaults delete com.apple.SoftwareUpdate Catalog URL

Supply your password when prompted. Don't worry if you don't see the password being typed. This is normal as there's no echo in Terminal. Restart your Mac and try again.

THANKS!!!!!!, thanks for all the replys, I tried every one, but Rocco's solution nail it. Not with the terminal code, but with suenabler. I download it and found on it the address 192.168.0.6, and below a button that said revert to mac. And worked.

Making some memory, I remember this started after a Mac service, I guess they forgot to change this address.
