I use my primary computer as a media server for the whole house. My computer is in an upstairs office. Sometimes I'd like to start up my music without going all the way upstairs to "wake" the computer. My iphone remote app works perfectly, when the computer is awake, but if the computer is asleep, I can't just start my music from the phone.

Am I missing some setting somewhere, or is this outside of the remote app capability?

Thanks

Fabian

I was having trouble with "Wake on Demand" as well. Have a look at this kb entry: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3774

The key piece of info for me was setting my wireless network to be first in the list of Preferred Networks. It worked once I did this. (Note: I need to have the lid of my Macbook open; it wouldn't wake up if the lid was closed).

Hope this helps.
