I have been surfing through the threads, but I really can't find my answer. I'm looking for a chart, or numbers that shows the beginning to limited of cycle count in battery life Macbook Pros. I have a Macbook Pro (Early 2008). I noticed that my Macbook Pro battery doesn't last long like before. So, I'm wondering when it is the time to change the battery, I want to be prepare. Also, it had happen couples of times that I forget to plug the charger, the Macbook Pro automatically shut down instead of going to sleep. I found it awkward because before it will go to sleep the Macbook Pro will give me a signal of low battery. But now it just shut down, I have to turn it back on. By the way, I use my Macbook Pro for editing since I'm in Film school. I really carry my lovely Macbook Pro aroundn with me. :3
My Cycle count life:
Health Information:
Cycle count: 687
Condition: Poor
Apple say a battery at 300 cycles should retain 80% of original capacity, at 687 you're well past that and approaching the day you need to simply buy a new battery.
You and your MacBookPro have done well to reach 687 cycles, PibaPeebs!
You both clearly deserve a new battery!
I'd get one right away. When the computer starts shutting down without warning then you can lose important data through Hard Drive corruption and the like.
Agreed. I'm disappoint with myself that I didn't think about how long the battery will last. I love my Macbook to let it die just like that, of course, I'm heading to Apple store to get a new battery today. The Macbook is getting slow when I turning it on which is warning me to give her a new heart.
