deleted files automatically return

Hi there,

I have a strange problem. Somehow when I delete a collection of .torrent files (and empty secure my trash), after a while the deleted files 'automatically' return in my movies-folder. I want them deleted...

What can cause this problem?

It drives me crazy!

Hi again (from across the pond and a continent):

I am thrashing around, but one thing I thought of would be to run repair disk from your software install DVD to see if there are directory issues.

There are preference files that may be corrupt as well, but I would be wildly guessing to point ot any and i do not want to suggest anything that might cause additional problems.

Barry

P.S. Needless to say, I have never seen anything like that before.

Hi again!

Still having the same problem.
I used my install-dvd with macosX-leopard, pressing c while starting up. I chose disk-utility and repaired the disk-permissions as well as the disk itself......nothing helped.

So far, I think it has nothing to do with the torrent-client, as I saw the deleted files re-appear in the movies folder (torrent client was off all the time).

Any suggestions?
Anyone?

The deleted files reappear after several minutes, I can't find what triggers this.

In a terminal session this came up:

What does this mean? For me it is like ancient chinese....

EXACT same crap for me. Started with 2 files, now I have a dozen. They are "invalid" torrents from previous TV shows I have down loaded in the past (Mininova)

Not sure if this is relevant, but files reappear at specific times/intervals

5:34, 5:44, 6:44 .....

Every ten minutes, and always at at the "4 minute" mark.

Tried to delete MIRO and reinstall newer version - no cigar! This seemed to me to be the only logical place where this type of automatic process would be initiated. So much for that idea...

I started with 12 or so files, and now it's up to 149. but they are all files I have previously downloaded from mininova...i'm wondering if there is a connection there? except the files re-download even if safari, mail, transmission etc are closed. The only way they stop downloading is if i turn off the internet. So it's something being pulled from online and not created by anything on my computer.
