Can you lengthen/shorten multiple clips at the same time by dragging?
sometimes I need to shorten a handful of clips to a "snapped" distance but I can't figure out how to select the tracks, and apply length edit at once! (opposed to doing the same edit one at a time). Any ideas?
Sorry for the delay-- Yes, clips are stacked on top of each other v1,v2,v3 and i'd like to shorten the entire bunch of those clips simultaneously if possible, instead of dragging each one to the right place.
Press 'g' (to enter trimmode)
lasso all clip-ends (=drag the cursor like a box around them)
Position the playhead in the timeline where you want all clips to end.
press 'e' (to Extend (or shorten) all selected cuts.
Hi -
Lots of different ways to do what you want, I'm sure you'll receive at least 3 or 4 different methods, here is one:
Select all the clips you want to trim on the time line, Control-click on any one of the highlighted clips and select "Duration". Set the new duration you want, and click OK, all the clips highlighted will get the new duration (as long as there is sufficient media in the clip).
Hope this helps.
Set an i/o point on the Timeline where you want to remove the content and perform a lift or ripple delete. Or select the clips' edit points and use the roll tool to roll the edit points. If you want to maintain the clip but change the duration then select the multiple clips and right click the clip to set the duration.
