Question

How do I set a home page on safari ?

Probably shocking simple but I can't find the setting anywhere , basically I hate that safari returns youto last page viewed on myiphone how do I set a home page? ie. google

You can't, it is working that way by design. Most logical reason: If you are looking up something in Safari and you are interrupted by a phone call when you return to Safari you will be at the same place as when you left.

well that's a pain,

there seem to be alot of idiosyncratic ways with the iphone i love the phone 90% of the time but times like this it really annoys me surly it wouldn't be that hard to add the option of a home page to the app

maybe ill set a google bookmark and use that to open my browser

You can do that or set a webclip.

First time you are looking something up and have to switch apps you will appreciate the current design.

not really that's what the "history" is for so i can go back if i need to generally i close the app because im finished with it i don't want to go back to it

do mozilla do a browser for i-phone is what i am now wondering is it possibel to dump safari altogether

Make a bookmark in Safari for the home page you want. Put it on the top of the list.

scrub that i just looked and apple wont let mozilla do that either

i love my i-phone but apple is starting to become annoying with there protecting of it's "baby" so to speak

that won't really do what i want it to do it will still return to last page viewed everytime i open safari when i close the program i want it to close not remember where i was its so annoying eg, im reading a forum close safari then when i open up again i have 4 hour old posts that or im looking @ google maps close it and when i open it im looking at a map that i dont need any more
