I have recently switched from PC to Mac. One of the few things I cannot seem to figure out in Pages is how to add that little arrow-thingy. In newer versions of MS Office you have to punch "-" "-" ">" (i.e.: -->) and that is then transformed into a neat little arrow (useful to point out conclusions and so on). This does not work in Pages. Is there any way to insert this arrow symbol in a Pages document?
Go to Pages Preferences > Auto - Correction. Click on the + sign at the bottom. In the Replace column type the key combination you want to use. Tab to the With column. Now show the Character Palette and click the Symbols triangle and select Arrows. Double click the arrow of your choice.
Now when you type your key combination followed by a space you will get your ➔.
Follow this procedure for any symbol you want to insert. Note that this is for Pages and is not global.

No, it doesn't work on Mac or Pages. You can get nice arrows if you open the Character palett. Go to the last item in the Edit menu. It will open the Character palette (or what is called in english). There you can choose arrows. Select one and drag it to you document.
